(EN) ELECTRIC CASTLE is the largest music festival in Romania and it’s the first Romanian festival that took electronic dance music and live concert sounds to a castle’s domain. After the legendary first two editions, Electric Castle 2015 gets even bigger with 6 stages and over 150 artists.
On it’s first edition, the festival was shortlisted for the Best Medium Sized Festival category at Festival Awards, among festivals such as Melt!, Balaton Sound, I Love Techno or Volt. On the second edition, in 2014, Electric Castle was again shortlisted for the Best Medium Sized Festival at Festival Awards.
Held on the domain of Bánffy Castle (or Bonțida Bánffy Castle), the festival wants to be more than a concert extension and tries to offer a full experience to the participants by creating a mix between the unique location, filled with beauty and history, all day round urban activities (like extreme sports, audio-video production workshops) and a large variety of electronic music.

(RO) Electric Castle este cel mai mare festival din Romania si este primul festival care a mutat muzica electronica si sunetele live ale unui concert pe scenele unui castel. Dupa două editii legendare, anul acesta, Electric Castle va avea 6 scene si peste 150 de artisti.
După prima ediție din 2013, festivalul a fost nominalizat la doua categorii la European Festival Awards (Best New Festival și Best Medium Size Festival), mai târziu ajungând în finală, în primele 10 festivaluri din Europa la categoria Best Medium Size Festival, alături de nume de prestigiu ca Volt, Balaton, Melt sau I love Techno.
Electric Castle își propune să fie mai mult decât o extensie a unui concert și dorește să ofere participanților o experiență totală prin combinarea trecutului plin de istorie și grandoare ale locației cu modernul și urbanul, prin activitățile de pe timpul zilei (fie că este vorba de sporturi extreme sau workshop-uri de producție audio-video) și paletă variată de muzică.
