Steam Group for DoW2 Clan Wars Matchmaking!

can anybody help me? i have bought dow2 from a shop 2nd hand and it requires me to put in a product key on the back of the instructions, but when i do steam tells me this code is already in use with the game. can i get a new code anywhere to activate it through steam? please help! gaz
