New version is up. v1.2 includes an installer that makes playing the mod and other public servers a breeze. The readme will confirm your file version, the server will also tell you which version is being run. You may unzip the files to a folder on your desktop, then change the GUNSCRIPTS.ini to match your dods file structure. If the .ini is directed to the correct folder, double-clicking load/unload.bat will easily add/remove scripts to play the mod or play in pubs.

Changes:

slightly nerfed pistol accuracy
buffed bar attack speed
slightly buffed no scope accuracy
nerfed mp40/tompson accuracy
slightly buffed carbine/stoss accuracy and buffed attack speed
fixed a bug that prevented the c96 from having more than 3 clips

Reasoning:

Pistols: I'm still up for change on how accurate these weapons should be. For now I've nerfed their accuracy a little bit which should still allow for players to finish their enemies when they have less than 30 hp, but should hopefully discourage players from using it as a primary weapon.

Bar: Anyone who tried the mod felt the bar was kinda odd. I changed the attack speed a little closer to default. It still shoots slightly slower than the STG/mp44, but shouldn't be so noticeable that it makes the weapon odd to use. Internal testing shows that the bar feels a lot more fluid, so hopefully the bar is now in a balanced place.

Snipers: Not much to say on this other than no scoping didn't feel as tight as it should. I'm keeping an eye on this as snipers should be focused on actually scoping with the weapon as opposed to running around like a rifle. Still, I want the no scope accuracy to be good enough to cause clutch situations and reward fast reaction snipers in difficult positions.

Assault: I don't really want the assault class to be a weapon preffered over rilfes or support however I want it to be a somewhat viable alternative. Reducing the accuracy on the weapon should leave it as a close range weapon as before it was a little too good long range.

Carbine/Stoss: I think I may have finally found a nice place for the experimental weapon, but I'm willing to change anything to make this gun feel natural and balanced. Playing around with the values showed that a slower shooting garand with little recoil just didn't feel right. Because I can't change the recoil beyond what it is (for now), I have decided to make the weapon a 50 damage shot with slightly better accuracy and a faster fire rate. I felt like buffing the carbine/stoss to these values would make the weapon appealing and challenging at the same time. The challenge is the 50 damage a shot means you can make 2 hit kills to the body but hitting a limb will require 3 hits to kill. The appeal is that it's high accuracy and faster semi-auto than a garand will allow players who are good at strafing a chance to excel.

My goal for the carbine/stoss is to create a unique rifle different from the garand/kar, so please test out the mod and share your thoughts.
