Hi everyone!

In the midst of the community transition that we're currently in, as Devils Playground is becoming GlobalStrafe. I would like to take a moment to announce that we're making the long-awaited GOTV site public. It's currently only operating for the HnS EU server but we do plan on expanding it as progress on the new website is made.

The GOTV page will serve the possibility to download any match demo, currently only from the HnS EU server. It can/will be used for making YouTube videos, reporting rule-breakers and increased surveillance footage in favor to our administration.

The page is very plain and basic as I've mainly wanted to focus on functionality while I've developed this. The logo and a lot of other style features are there as temporarily style components until we have a finished design. The project is built from nothing and may therefore come with bugs.

Greetings long-term players, newcomers, supporters and community members of Devils Playground. I've divided this announcement in to parts. Feel free to skip the first intro segment if you wish.

Today I am announcing something out of the ordinary, nothing that I usually announce, with the maximum excitement doing so. Before I begin to explain, this is not a goodbye or a shutdown announcement of any sorts, it's actually the opposite of that. I'm glad if you choose to read it through. The actual announcement comes after this first segment below.

During all this time, ever since I launched this community about 1 year ago, myself and others of this community have devoted a lot of time and energy on continuously shaping and developing for what we today see this community as. As for most communitys, we've shared our fair amount of good and bad moments. The good moments in my memory consists of a lot of laughs in-game, feature updates that's been highly appreciated and much more. It have always excited me to see the enthusiasm & devotion from both players and especially the staff. To think that everything we've built is based on pure passion & interest for the gamemodes we host - 0 relevance to financial gain/interest for anyone who has contributed, is absolutely astonishing. I thank you all for what you've done, I could never have anticipated this. Whether it's to moderate for a short period of time, being staff, donated for VIP, contributed with feedback, reported rule-breakers or whatever it could be: I thank you all for taking part in a project that I'm very passionate about.

A few months ago I started developing an idea in my head. That I've together with some staff members built upon (and still working on).
This new idea, project, concept and community is of course what some of you might've heard of: GlobalStrafe. What this project will consist of and it's details is yet to be announced. Today I thought I'd mostly share the primary details, what to expect and what's going to change. To try and put the thought behind it in short: I started DevilsPG with the mindset of establishing a respected & feature-rich Hide'n'Seek community. Ever since the launch I've been wanting to do more and more, we launched new servers and developed new features. It's time to look beyond that and start thinking about what should be next for us. I don't want DevilsPG/GlobalStrafe to be standard - basically just another community in the ordinary collection. I like thinking uniquely and new.

That is why we're rebranding the existing Devils Playground to GlobalStrafe.


Well like I mentioned before, all details are not to be announced at once. GlobalStrafe is going to represent what is and will be NEW. It will be taking on a wider approach than the previously targeted audience.. With more servers (added progressively) and new ideas.

• Our hide'n'seek & KZ scene is about to be improved, with a whole new way of enjoying both gamemodes.
  
  
• GOTV page for all the servers, made from scratch by myself - It's actually finished and just needs some final polishing. TBA
  
  
• We're launching a YouTube channel with an active flow of publishing new content/videos.
  
  
• We're launching a twitch livestream channel that's going to be filled with exciting events surrounding the community.
  
  
• A whole new website that will eventually be the communitys main platform.
  
  
• Even more plugins & features will be developed to selected servers that we ensure is going to be much appreciated.
  
  
• Server performance improvements.
  
  
• Servers will be renamed & rebranded to GlobalStrafe
  
  
• GlobalStrafe will replace Devils Playground and will have the same focus in mind (HnS etc), just a lot of other things added to it.
  
  
• New steam group - Please join us! GlobalStrafe Steam Group

... Those are just some of the things that are about to come. The largest of them all is yet to be announced, it still needs a decent amount of work done to. And to be announced seperately.
In time, we'll be reviewing Staff Applications like never before. With a lot of new positions etc. Stay tuned for that.

In preparation for this - I've promoted Djupingen to the manager role together with me.

A video production team has been put together that will provide content for the YouTube channel. I believe we're also accepting applications for that position.
