So renaming games doesn't work at all anymore? So what is the point of this software.

It seems that Depressurizer simply cannot see Counter-Strike: Condition Zero Deleted Scenes and whenever I export to Steam it shows up under games like an uncategorized game, I just have to right click it and set the category to Action so it's not a huge inconvenience for one single game but I have to do it every time I run Depressurizer

Everytime I run the latest version, it says it has encountered a fatal error. What am I doing wrong?

Hi! I think depressurizer is an awesome tool, and i'd be lost without it but i've been thinking about a feature that imo woul be very useful ¿How about a way to join cats together before auto cat starts?
For example: Now im using auto cat by Tag, and it woul be awesome if i coud tell the program to put together the games on two different cats like "Roge like" and "Rogue lite" instead of doing it manually after auto cat.

@BloodyTiger "set hidden" would hide them from your steam library.

Whether that is a good choice depends on personal preference so i can't answer that. You could also leave them uncategorized, add them to a "removed from steam" category, manually categorize them or whatever else you can come up with.

Yeah, we get the genres from the steam store page of each game, so if they have no page, we don't know their genres.

I checked what you said. All those 245 games you see I can't auto-cat, maybe are they obsolete games that does not exist in the steam store yet? I have checked some games with right click and "Visit in store" and the url doesn't exist. For example Artic Combat or Aerena.

p.s: After that you'd need to delete the old categories and re-autocategorize the games for language to change.

Tools->Settings and change "steam store language" to english

p.s2: Right click on the header of the title column (or any other column) and check "genres" on the dialog that appears. A new column called "Genres" should appear. Do the uncategorized games have genres?

To start from the obvious, were those 248 games selected?

If the "Selected Only" tickbox (below the autocategorize button) is ticked, it will only autocategorize selected games.

If it is unticked, it will autocategorize all games on the currently selected category.

To autocategorize all of your games, make sure that "selected only" is unticked, select the <all games> category and then press the autocategorize button.

p.s: If that wasn't the cause, i'd need more information. Like mention 4-5 games that didn't get autocategorized. If you open the "by genre" autocat (by pressing the "edit autocats" button), are all checkboxes checked?

Theo, why does not work Auto-categorize option? It should group my games automatically.

If you press Profile->Import Steam Config, it will import any categories you added using the steam client.

On Profile->Edit Profile Info->Options, there is also an option to do that automatically on startup.

Is there a way to use the program, add games in the categories inside steam, and update the profile file with the new changes you did, or i need to do all my edits with depressurizer?

IMPORTANT: If you are upgrading from version 0.7.1.4, you will need to go to Profile->Edit Profile Info->Options and check the "Update from local steam files before trying a web update" option in order to re-enable it.

I can not get depressurizer to function on my pc. Everything throws errors loading throws an error, profiling throws an error, trying to use auto cat throws an error, even trying to close the program is causing errors. Not even sure what to do.

I got the program and managed to get it all working although the program ignores games that I have from 2015+, the database doesn't even recognise that they are there. I am using 0.7.2 and tried updating app info but that didn't fix the problem.

From what i recall, it is reading from Steam\userdata\#number#\config\localconfig.vdf, Steam\appcache\packageinfo.vdf and Steam\appcache\appinfo.vdf and updating Steam\userdata\#same_number#\7\remote\sharedconfig.vdf

everytime i try to load my steam profile get the error "167"... it wont update my games, missing hundreds of games... anyone been through this?

I've done some research into doing this, including promising results at https://steamdb.info/forum/152/how-to-get-icon-url-for-specified-game-id-and-few-more-questions-about-webapi/#reply-3557 and http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2283746 but I've still not found a satisfactory solution. I am aware I can right-click and select properties, then change icon, select executable, etc., but when you have dozens of installed games to contend with, that is not a satisfactory solution.
