My Nurse builds for the most part have been aura reading builds.. So the star struck change has no issue for me.. But the addon changes on the other hand is going to hurt big time. ( Since they are removing all of the addons that lowers the cooldowns )

tbh, i never relied too much on starstruck nurse; my main nurse build is calling + im all ears + retribution

Back in the day when mods actually helped clean the game, people were getting banned if you provided Video / ScreenShot proof.

Are mods banning survivors who insult people, or still don't give a fuck about them, because they pay more?

Genuinely asking, because in every match there seem to be a little shit like that, and somehow they are not even afraid of bans.

To be frank, I don't even have the will to be mad about the current (and the past, and the future) state of DbD.

I will only play survivor and occasionally switch to killer just to remember how miserable playing this role is.

Honestly I am either going to quit, or just take a big break from the game.. I will probably play during the Halloween event.. But I cant say I will finish it or not. It depends. I've seen how overpowered the boon totems are and its something I called as soon as they announced it..

They can destroy your lit hexes with the boon totems along with placing theirs.. That is a bit much if you ask me. I do like the fact that Trapper finally got some love.. Same with Plague.. Some of the changes to Spirit I am just sure on at the moment.. Deathslinger nerf seems odd to me...

Then you have the perk changes for survivors.. Some of them are insane now.. This stuff is making me kinda not want to play at the moment. Also some of these changes are making me think they see VHS and are getting concerned that they will lose a lot of players to it. At least a fair amount of the changes feels like that a bit.

welp At least spirit aint alone with her execution they sent Ds to the gallows too now..

Yeah man im sorry hyped for VHS i saw the game and my god its the polar opposite of dbd.

Bugless (dbd beta was a nightmare if u recall) polished good and non annoying stuff for both sides (no clicking flashlights for one) no bright af lights and the devss look good and good at their game too!

And the gameplay is fun af too a battle to the death not a snozze to the death

Well. Depends on what they really do with the change.. Its not like BHVR to lie right? .. Right? ... Honestly I think I am finally done with the game.. Have not been on it at all in a long time now.. Been playing the D2 remaster as well as a few other things.. For me the Hellraiser DLC was incredibly broken.. I got fed up with it. ( And when I found out how MMR was done I got really,really pissed off at BHVR. I admit. Its exactly what they claimed they would not do, and its extremely simple. The exact opposite of what they claimed it would be.. )

Just a FYI.. And I know a lot of you have already picked up the DLC.. But the Hellrasier chapter is 3.99 on Humble Bundle, and I think the rest is on sale ( 50% off I believe? I did not fully look ) .. So for those who do not have it but are wanting it.. There ya go.. I admit if I was not a huge fan of that series I probably would not get it... But I did say I would come back if Hellraiser became a chapter for DBD. ( I also mentioned John Carpenter's The Thing, as well as Phantasm. )

Although i do prefer to play fair rather than optimally ( lots of hits hooks chases and stuff)

I've concluded that your entire thesis here reduces to playing in a way you won't be shamed for by survivors. That seems to be the only real thing you care about. As a content creator, I guess that makes sense.

If the game says they won well i cant even see it but i personally dont care.

I do care only if it affects me or my team (which includes randoms kinda unless they dc or are idiots then i hope they lose)

Basically tunnel and camp, bait altruistic players to come to the hook instead of doing gens, waste their time by not letting them unhook and if they do manage, focus on the unhooked person so that the unhooker doesnt get many altruism points.

If you prefer the PIP system as a performance metric and winning condition, over kills then that means that if you pip and the survivors pip, regardless of whether they live or die, the game can be considered TIED.

The example that you posted is a TIE. If most of your games end with survivors piping then most of your games end in a TIE.

If you want to win do not let them pip, regardless of whether they live or die. That means first and foremost no unhooks, no healing, do not give chases if you wont be able to down, focus on killing them 1 by 1 as fast as possible.

True Sariell but at least its what the game defines as a win condition.

And i prefer that over kills ( which is a way more unfun metric since it actively defends the most boring parts of the game camping tunneling slugging and gen rushing)

I think that team could have easily had you by around the five minute mark, and started screwing around instead of finishing the generator momentum they started.

The PIP system may be utter BS but it is an imposed metric. If we were to judge our own skill as well as each others by performance against subjectively defined rules then we would be talking forever.

When I win, none of the survivors get more than 6-7k BP and if one of them escaped it was because of the hatch (which can now spawn even at 5 gens). With zero unhooks, none of them get to pip. I might not double pip this way but I also do not drag a 5 minute game out to 15 or more.

For me personally winning is what the game tells me a win is.

Regardless of how broken or dumb ect the piping system is ranking up is the one true winning condition in every other online game ever.

Do i like killing all players in the match?

Yes absolutely!.

Do i think its how u win? THANKFULLY nope!

Identity v is where kills are wins and in there i do see 3k (or 5k in 2v8) as the win condition.

I hate the fake rules of dbd and i gotta be consistent with that thought after all.

With mmr tho sadly there wont be a explicit winning condition anymore since rank wont truly matter anymore .

I only count wins as a 4K, pipping or not pipping doesn't matter a single bit for me. The rank system in DbD is broken therefore pipping or not pipping doesn't matter.

But like I said previously, in my opinion you can have your own "definition of winning".

Plus as a Survivor, if you get a pip or double pip and you die, do you count that as a win?
For me it's the same as Killer, if I die, I lost, double pipping or not. If I escape I won.

@Sariell No offense but the only reason a Survivor would derank is if he gets caught at the start of the match and gets camped hard, and dies right from the start. Because you simply canno derank as a Survivor if you have a normal match, even if you suck you will at least get 1 pip or safe pip.

The pip system is a joke, and with all honesty you can't rely on it that much to determine your skill or rank. That's why you see purple and red rank survivors that when they actually reach those ranks, get destroyed.

And I do think win/loss is up for debate.

You can get 2 pips and not kill a single survivor. Do you count that as a win? If you do count that as a win then alright I'm not judging, but for me if all survivors escape even if I get a double pip, it's a loss for me.

Also, Raoru, what counts as a victory and what doesn't is not up for debate. If you are better than your opponent, after facing them, the current rank gap between you and them should increase. If you are Rank 1 and you beat other Rank 1 players but they are not deranked, then you are still equal.

The game's scoring and ranking system is BS but as it is right now, if the gap between your ranks does not increase then you didn't best them.

pauloandrade224 you are missing the point.

You think that the results of your play style are based on your skill, but, in fact, a lot of it is allowed by the survivors you face because it gives them points and pips.

You wouldn't be getting 4ks if you denied them unhooks because they wouldn't let you catch them so easily. In the example vid there was no blocking, no hook swarming, no flashing attempts during pickup.

Since you tend to switch targets to a healthy survivor if they are closer, if the survivors knew they wont be getting unhooked, they would run you for 5 gens while swapping runners and you would get no kills. But they wouldn't pip either.

Just because your opponent lets you play out your strat doesn't mean it's a good strat. In fact, it often means the opposite.

I agree with pauloandrade224, for me it's a win if I get 4k.
It's the only way I feel pleased. Less then 4k for me is a loss. But I guess everyone sees their "wins" and "losse's" differently.

Some people consider pipping as a win no matter how many people they've killed.
For me I only win if I get a 4k, if any surv escapes it's a loss.

I dunno man idgaf if others win as long as i win too personally.

In fact id like if in more things everyone could have a chance to win as long as they are good

Fair means everyone respects the rules of the game and does not cheat. There are no rules against camping.

You got 4k but you did not really win since the survivors also pipd. It's not a victory if 5/5 players rank up.

Survivors farmed you for points because you let them and they did not care about dying, as they knew they will get a lot of BP and pip.

The round should have ended in 5 minutes or less given how these survivors played.

(Give us a call when you run into groups of survivors good enough to do generators in around four minutes, because they exist and they will steamroll you with your "fair" killer play.)
