Mitten's Message
As of today it’s officially been 4 years since the Daily Gamer’s Organization was created. And it’s been an insane journey for everyone who’ve participated. I’m going to write this a little more personally, I’ll be honest and write; I had no idea Daily Gamer’s would grow into what it has become as of today.

We’ve created a community in which we’re not locked to one demographic, we’ve members of all ages from youngsters like CaptainM, to seniors like Callisto. We’ve members from all corners of the world, from the infamous canadian Penney, to our beloved Malaysian timezone leader M13, to our never ending entertaining French warrior Mister-T.

Everyone of you who has joined us, has played a huge role in building this community into what it is today. It’s a community in which few to no rules exists, yet it’s a community in which its unique social experience is the cornerstone of what Daily Gamer’s is.

As I’ve said several times throughout the years, Daily Gamer’s is and shall always remain a free, open and sociable community. And this is why, as of this message, we’ll launch the third organizational update in our history.


Teamspeak Change
The first major change we’re going to pass, is to shut down the Teamspeak. Yes, I know it’s a shocker. But, it’s not the end. For a long time it’s been floating around in the leadership of Daily Gamer’s to move over to Discord[discord.gg]. Infact, it’s been discussed actively since 2019. The reason behind this is that recruitment has grown a bigger challenge over the last two years, and most if it has to do with gaming communities moving in the direction of Discord[discord.gg].

But hold on! Don’t rage at me yet, our Discord will not be like a usual discord, we’re going to be a verified tier 3 Discord. With the same audio quality of our dedicated Teamspeak and 3x the audio quality of everyday Discords. We’re going to have live-HD 60fps streams enabled for all our members as well as the channel privacy we’ve enjoyed on our Teamspeak.

Rank Changes
We’re going to initiate a rank reset. This is something we’ve been interested in ever since the DGo+ fiasco back in 2017. Several members and many in the leadership have felt and argued over the years that the meaning of being a DGo and DG has disappeared gradually. We’re going to bring back this value. From now on, we’re going to have an official promotion day every quarter. This means the journey towards becoming an Helper and even a Leader or Officer has a function for all of you who’ve wanted to do more for the community, but simply weren't seen or heard.

We’re also adding the “Mentor” as an official tag, which can be carried not only by Helpers, Leaders or Officers, but all members of the community. This tag is going to be given to members who’ve shown great teaching ability in whatever game they’re interested in. A trusted member who all member’s can approach for help, advice and tips on how to improve as a player.


Instructions on how to join the community on Discord (Even for those who just want to stay as a GUEST and not become a DGo member):

• Download the discord client OR log in through the discord website (We recommend downloading the client)
  
• Create a Discord account.
  
• Enter this Discord invite link into the discord browser or in the ‘Add a Server’ option in the client: https://discord.gg/dailygamers
  
• AND you are done! Just set your nickname if you’re creating an account for the first time. FOR those who are returning from Teamspeak, remember to set your nickname to the one you used on Teamspeak.
