I was watching Pro Starcraft 2 MLG this past weekend and it made my heart flutter. They filled the entire hotel. They filled all the seating, times 10. It was a U2 Stadium sellout to New Egg Digital Life's underground indie show. At any given time there were 130,000 viewers on the Starcraft live stream. I don't know if those numbers even include the Halo fans. This is what we always wanted e-sports to be.

Anyway, I feel like a team FPS revival is inevitable. SC is great, but because it is 1v1 it lacks some of the specter of CS. One day there will be a revival, and CS 2 will be the way to lead it in.

I was watching Col Armageddon and Redemption last night and I remember the feeling of almost winning that match against Easy5 on Cbble in New York. To this day I have yet to completely forgive Freestyle and Treeburner, but that's neither here nor there. I've got the bug again. I've been trying to fight the bug for years. First, because of my wrist, then because of the toll the work took on my life, then because of my wrist again, and then later because I made it to cevo P but the game died in front of me.

The bug is back. I want to play again. Maybe just causally for a little while. Just enough so those old skills won't rust. We can bide our time, then when the moment is right swoop out of the darkness like the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Batman and take the world by storm.

So in conclusion: Do any of you want to play again? I'm thinking not seriously. Like maybe just matches and one scrim day. Just floating the idea out there. Let me know what you think.
