I fear this dream is done for now. The servers have been performing crappily for the past while, and thus people have moved on. I'm personally taking a break from NS2 for a while. I've refunded all the reserved slots from the second half of December, contact me if you've got questions.

If you haven't been on the server recently, we've been having some pretty major lag problems. I've yelled at BlueFang but they don't seem to think anything is wrong. The server might perform fine for a stretch, then hit a huge lag spike. So if you want to try to seed while I'm out, by all means, but you've been warned.

I'm headed out of town until the 30th, so I'll be away from my PC, I can still handle some things but I'm not going to be online all the time.

There is the off chance that whatever broke the server will fix itself in as magical a way as it broke, but it's slim.

So due to the thread in discussions, it seems the most sensible thing to do is make captains decide what to do with people above 8v8.

Ideally they don't late-join without a partner of equal skill. Captains decide if they pick all of the people in the server at the start of the game.

Basically, if the captains agree on it, it's the law. But the hard-cap is gone now.

So It's been brought to my attention that the new 8v8 doesn't sit well with some of the reserved slot holders, I understand the reasoning. There's a new discussion about the matter, pretty please go post in it.
