The Official Budznetwork.com gameservers have been laid to rest. Many of the familiar peeps have joined together and formed SpawnOfBudz. The ip's are the same, and for the most part, so are the rules.



Thank you to everyone who has helped in the transition.

Instead of dumping the dedi, relocating, and all the other crap that goes with it. The new splinter group will be taking over the dedi. So the ip's will stay as will all the other stuff. The only things that will change are the names and rules. Both DoD:S and DoD:S Gungame will stay under the new group. The FoF server will be used by a different group and the conduct may not be what you want or are used to(it's gonna be raw).

Now onto the facts. :-)

Is budznetwork shutting down?
Not at all. With the upcoming summer of work and some real life issues(my father) I do not have the time or energy to run the GAMESERVERS at this time. The budznetwork servers will take a hiatus starting July 30th.

What about the website?
The website will ALWAYS be here. It's a name I'm proud of, and one that has spread across the community for many years. It will however change a bit. The forums will be used to keep track of each other and to support the groups that emerge(you guys starting servers). The front page will have server monitors monitoring the fave servers. I'll also be hosting the fast download for those new servers until the end of the year.

Will budznetwork ever run servers again?
Hmm, will Garak be negative the rest of his life? <3
I'm positive that budz servers will run again, but it probably won't be before next year.

Why Mos?
I've lost an incredible amount of my life to this adventure. The number of hours that I've spent dealing with budz related stuff is staggering. I average 20+ hours a week with the everyday fun involved in running this. And with the plugin work I've been doing, add a 100hrs to that. I'm just tired....

So what's happening?
Well, myself and psychonic are splitting a fof server. There is a group of admins ready to undertake/partner on reg and gg dods servers. When they get their servers up, we'll be running ads in the budz server to direct them to the new ip's. The redirect info will also be put in the hostnames ie: "Budznetwork.com GunGame >> Moving 234.456.78.910"
Until the are all situated and all the bugs are ironed out, they will have forums here to use.
The majority of the folks you play with, will still be playing those games, but just on a different server.
