Fear the Bolts!

The Black Veal Squadron is a virtual squadron that flies any and all modern aircraft in DCS World. The BVS boasts an international membership, though most members reside in the Eastern Time Zone of the United States. The BVS flies on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 8pm Eastern Time, and welcomes people who wish to fly cooperative DCS.

Members of all skill levels are welcome to apply for membership. All that we ask are that you have basic knowledge of the aircraft (e.g. knowing key commands) and the willingness to learn.

History
The Black Veal Squadron began as an IL-2: Forgotten Battles virtual squadron with like-minded members who enjoy being at the top of the food chain. Honoring the namesake of VMF-214 (the fabled Black Sheep Squadron), the BVS chose to honor not just the sheep who donates his coat, but the calf who donates his own well being so that the rest of us can enjoy the best of tender red meat. We did this by applying the classic Holstein pattern to our F4U Corsairs, and this tradition has carried on to our present day aircraft.

Since the days of IL2:FB, the Black Veal Squadron has flown subsequent airframes such as the F-22 (Total Air War 2.0[community.combatsim.com]), Eurofighter Typhoon (EF2000 Reloaded[community.combatsim.com]), and most aircraft in DCS World.

And if you were wondering about the lightning bolts, they're not so much of a veal thing, but they are a package deal!
