Capcom's Seth Killian confirms that Bionic Commando franchise is not dead.

During this weekend's "4 guys, 1 up" podcast (great title btw), Seth Killian from Capcom US confirmed that the Bionic Commando is not dead. He does however not confirm if anything is in the Capcom pipeline.

Let's hope we don't have to wait 15-20 years for a new game.

BC developer GRIN has officially gone bancrupt

Kotaku writes about the demise of Swedish developer Grin behind the game Bionic Commando. One of the reasons are the current economic climate in combination with Grin's unbearable cashflow situation.

With mixed reviews Bionic Commando may have some flaws but were also gutsy game developmentwise and managed to deliver a swing mechanic bringing both a complexity and simplicity to the control scheme of the game.

It's a shame if the developer will be remembered solely for some of it's shortcoming. Let's hope not.

Best of luch to the staff who are leaving Grin's offices these days. Thesea talents will hopefully find an employment elsewhere in the world.
