Steamgifts guidelines update

Just published an update that turns off these settings:
  • AutoJoin in background.
  • AutoJoin if page is opened every X hours.
Right now it's not clear what is a criteria of getting a suspension. I advise you to stop using AutoJoin button and keeping those options off (although they're still available in settings).

Maybe using moderate settings you'll be fine, like checking only your wishlist and only every 10 hours? I don't know. And if you want to try it - you'll be at fault of your suspension.

Hope you still find this extension useful.

So, what do you guys think? Right now I'm thinking of publishing an update that disables background autojoin for everyone. I'll keep an option to enable it back but you'll risk getting a suspension.

Make sure you're on the latest version (1.10.2) and if it still doesn't work, please create a new topic here in discussions or an issue on github.

It would help if you include your settings and check if there are any error when you go to extension page (Extensions > Manage Extensions > Details or paste chrome://extensions/?id=bchhlccjhoedhhegglilngpbnldfcidc into address bar). Enable Developer mode in top right corner.

You'll then see:
Inspect views
service worker
html/offscreen.html

Click on both of these and if you see errors, send them too.

Recent update had a lot of underlying changes that were required to move extension from manifest v2 to v3 (v2 support in Chrome is ending soon, so it had to be done).

It can give a suspension if used too much.

And you also should periodically join yourself, at random times.

It is still working. You need to confirm that you want to take on the risk of getting banned. Settings it's usable with are: load 2 pages before joining, autojoin every 12 hours, enable autojoin on main page, 30sec between requests, enter wishlist giveaways.

My friend still use autojoin, no suspension. But I am not and this is very annoying to clicking all day manually like robot.

Try to AutoJoin in background every *random* hours (2-3 times per day)

Delay between requests *random* seconds (15-30 sec)
