Athena will protect us she is the godess of defensive war!

It was over a year ago that I came into this group. I was a Roman statesmen to begin with, named “Numerius Fabius Corvus.” I changed to my Hellenic persona, Chrysanthos, upon ascending to the throne in the face of Macedonian incursions. Aegean sought to expand his Empire and I stood in his way in defense of Athens. I defended Athens successfully against him, as well as against Sparta. I came into my own as the King of Athens.

This began a role-play journey for me and a few of my companions. I fought in wars, travelled to Olympus, oversaw economic reforms and served else wise as the leader of Athens.

Now, I shall move on. The parallel Athenian group, “The Estate of Athens,” has requested my service. I will create a new character and join their community. It has been a great pleasure to be the King of Athens and to serve the city in such a capacity. But, I feel as though it would be best that I, in a role-play context, start anew and serve as one in a community.

I write these last words with a contented sadness. Many memories I have formed in this group and in the role-play community. I hope to make more, to continue to serve. But, there does come a time when we must move on from a good thing and be glad that we had it in the first place. To all my companions and fellow role-players, I express a sincere sense of gratitude.
