Rules of the Hunt
- There will be no teams at all. This is an individual event each person must do on their own.

- You may not spawn props, weapons, or etc to help you during the event. All eggs on the map can be reached normally.

- When you find an egg you must call the Master of the Hunt to you (I will teleport to you and confirm you found an egg)

- To win you must find the most eggs. The only catch is that this is a very large map, so choose where you explore wisely!

- There are only ninteen eggs on the entire map, when all of them are found the hunters will be teleported back to the start, the totals counted, and the first through third place winners announced.

The event "PredHunt" will take place in Garry's Mod on Vuthakral's Gmod Server

This event is a survival type game in which the Human team tries to survive the Pred team over a span of 10 minutes. It will take place in a forrest enviornment throughout which are several wrecks, providing scraps and sometimes even tools to the Human players, which they can use to build either shelters or traps.

The Pred team's goal is to eliminate all members of the Human team before time is up. Preds have a maximum of 3 players, depending on how many Humans they have to hunt.

The Human teams goal is to survive the Preds for 10 minutes, using various means such as shelters or traps. Humans have no limit on how many members they have.

Only the gravity gun and toolgun for building things are alowed for this event. Ropes and welding are the primary tools to be used. Preds are required to wait 1 minute at the start of the round, giving Humans time to find wrecks and get scraps. After 1 minute Preds are released into the forrest.


Survival Tips for Humans:

Build shelters with many exit points, as Preds can and will corner you.

Useing trees as solid foundations for shelters is often the best way to ensure they cannot be simply shot away by Preds.

Traps are one way of defending yourself, a trapped Pred is one less thing to worry about (if your trap is sturdy). However useing materials on traps can be risky, as there is only a limited supply of scraps.

Use fire and loud noises to temporarily scare away Preds.
Every Pred has a unique call, allowing you to tell what type you are up against before you even see it.

You cannot hide from Tracker Preds, instead try to lure them away from your teammates or trap them before they give away your position.

Hunting Tips for Preds:

Humans often travel in groups, this makes it easier to kill several of them at once.

Be sure to surround human shelters before you attack, to cover any hidden exits they might have.

You must run if humans use fire against you. Not only is this a rule, but it is a real danger that can actually kill you if it gets on your seat. You may also get "startled" by loud noises from the Humans, however this noise also gives away their position.

Your mouse 2 button is a call. Use this to tell other Preds that you found a human or that you've been trapped. This can be used as a signal to regroup as well as a way to scare your Human prey.

Be wary of your surroundings. Humans may attempt to lure you into traps, so keep a look out for things that may fall on you or snap shut.



Most importantly have fun!

Basically this is a new thing we are going to try with some of our newcomers (since so many new ones have joined recently).

We will be playing AvP(almost all of the newcomers have AvP apparently)
This is a sort of test (don't panic!) to see how cooperative you guys are with eachother. You will be put on teams with different members to see how well you work with each set of teamates.

Also, if some of the senior members would like to participate in this that would be much appreciated. You will be tested on your ability to work with people, and your ability to use your skills towards the objective your team is given.

There will be 2 teams

On each team, there will be a "target player"

This target player is the objective of each team.

The target players on both teams will be the same species(so they have equal health points)

The teams must defend their target player by working together to outsmart the other team (much like capture the flag with a player as the flag)

To win, you must kill the enemy team's target player 10 times.

RULES:

E grabs are only allowed if you first knock over your victim.

The target player CAN fight back, but can not hide(they can definately run though). Must be able to be seen clearly by the other team.

Target players can't kill other target players.

Plasma kills on the target player wont count. They are only allowed against the target player's teamates (don't get crazy with it lol)

The target player must be killed with either melee attacks or(if your a marine) you must be close to them when you shoot, giving them a chance to attack you.

The teams each start out with 100 points. They loose 10 points every time a target is killed, and 5 points when a teamate is killed. This score doesn't affect who wins, it only tells us that the team who killed you was doing a good job.

The target player will be switched every round.

Teams will swap members every round.
