We Are TAMA

TAMA aka The Anti-Microtransaction Association (Branch off of FMA), fights against the frustrating issue of Microtransaction on Steam. Microtransaction is a business model where users can purchase virtual goods via micropayments. Microtransactions are often used in free-to-play games to provide a revenue source for the developers. While microtransactions are a staple of the mobile app market, they are also available on traditional computer platforms such as Valve Corporation's Steam platform. Steam is a multi-billion dollar company, they do not need this, we do not need this! Invite your friends and help them spread the word against this problem.

I personally hate this game because of how ridiculous the microtransactions are. Spread the word about this, complain on the CS:GO Steam Forums, and build up the group.

Thanks to "guy | against paid mods"

1. Only purchase games we know to be microtransaction-free. that means we need to stop pre-ordering games, and we need to do our research before buying.

2. We must raise awareness among the community about microtransactions, e.g. explain to people why 'easy fatalities' was a crummy thing to do.

3. We need to communicate our displeasure to the publishers via e-mails and petitions and the like.

I'm glad to say that the micro-transactions threat has past,
even though there are some games by russian game makers with micro-transactions still kicking, the AAA game companies got the message pretty clear, and I am ready to leave this group happily!

Not Incur any Cynicism , but is this really helpful on this scale? i think something that would Really shake Things up is If A group on E3 or some Important Gaming Association Protests LIVE on camera. Or some other Idea someone has. i have protested many times to many things game related (mostly to EA) on forums and Twitter and such and they just brush it off and appeal to their "Hardcore fans" for help. a good example it Useless "Origin Points". well anyway i thought i had to say this now. because i didn't even know about this until i searched for it out of curiosity.

I Hope and I Hope to All you Gamers out there, Please Defend yourself From this...This Atrocity. because if Micro transactions stay...who knows what happens after.

Hello!

Will anyone from this group be interested in joining a group dedicated to stopping Microtransactions in Killing Floor 2. We recently reached over 2,000 members who feel that RNG gambling in an Early Access title should never be a feature worth adding. If you're interested in fighting against this buisiness model, consider joining up :)

Hey, could you guys make a post about Black Ops 3? This Game now got horrible Gambling aspects (like a casino) with microtransactions!

I think the management of this group should make it clear that this group is specifically against microtransactions in premium games. Once that is done, we can stop fighting amongst ourselves, and begin to make some progress.
