Hello and welcome all. I would just like to say for starters, thank you all for your dedicated support towards Campfire Games, "War of Rights". With fast paced development, an excellent dev team, and supporters like you help make War of Rights one of the most successful historically accurate civil war games in the 21st century!
Gathering support is the best thing we can do for the game at this current stage. This steam group is just a channel that announces when events are, the information on them, and who's hosting them. So let's invite everyone out there and do CG as well as WoR proud!

We will be using the 1st Texas Volunteer Infantry Tactics & Drill Manual for all of our commands.

This manual has been created with the intent to provide the units of War of Rights a basic guideline to combat tactics and drill. This document is by no means near 100% historically accurate, but the information laid out in it has been adapted from the historical Hardee’s Manual. We wanted to create a standard in drilling procedure that can be used with the tools provided by the game mechanics, while still feeling like the commands and tactics used during the period. We understand that by doing this we have removed and added a few things that were not a part of the historical standard used during the Civil War, but we also understand that due to limitations of a video game we cannot accommodate every historical aspect of a drill manual.

It is our hope that this manual will help bridge the gap between history and the world that Campfire Games is creating. This manual is a free flowing, ever changing document that will evolve alongside the changes that occur on the game side. As new things are added to War of Rights, new things will be added to the manual as well. This document is our attempt at simplifying history into a manageable format that can be used by anyone willing to follow these guidelines.
