"CounterStrike users on WGN have recently been debating the ruleset for Objective based issues on the servers.

We are happy to announce two rule changes that will ensure we have a more smooth flow of gaming, and that the rules and gameplay are clearer and solid for the WGN Gaming Network. The changes affect all CS servers, including CS1.6 and CS:Source. The changes to rules include the following:

Hostage Killing is no longer allowed. Players found intentionally killing hostages will attract a ban period of 7 days from all WGN servers of the game they were playing. This is not negotiable and not available for administrative dispute. All admins will be enforcing this new rule.

Counter Terrorist camping on hostage maps will not be tolerated, and again will attract a 7 day ban from all WGN servers. Camping as a CT on the hostage style map is a blatent disregard for the map objectives and extends the gameplay of the map without any real objective to follow. WGN does not run purely stats-based servers.
