Competitive Community Ambassadors

UPDATE: Gained Support, a Reminder, (SHOWMATCH), and Community Ambassador Support

Hi!

A Quick update.

We have officially gained some support from a lot of websites. We recently have garnered support from:

• r/tf2
  
• TF2Center
  
• playcomp.tf
  
• logs.tf
  
• EVL Gaming
  
  The guide that we're working on should be posted on all of those sites (excluding EVL for now). We're continuing to grow among communities, and we're continuing to reach out to more and more "TF2 related" websites.

A reminder that our guide is STILL available to work on, and can be found in our "DISCUSSIONS" tab, where nobody outside the group can see. Be sure to give feedback for certain parts, as well. (If you see something wrong, don't message me. Make a comment or edit it yourself!)

Another reminder that we DO have a "DISCUSSIONS" tab for you to discuss certain topics on. We're currently in the works of getting a sub-forum on UGC, so use that as a temporary thing to discuss certain things. Only people in the group are able to see what is written in there.


A showmatch is currently being organized. The catch? No banlist for any weapons. There are several reasons as to why this showmatch is being hosted, one of them is to introduce newer players to highlander, and to show them how easy the transition from pubbing to competitive is. No current info on it yet, but EVL has agreed to give us full support, and to cast it, provide servers, etc.

We are currently in talks with other platinum members to get them involved. The only info on the "roster" of the showmatch is that it'll either include two top-tier platinum teams, or "celebrities" of TF2 to play.





A simple idea. A map maker has asked us to test his new map, koth_grizzly, and to help him give feedback. I'm not sure on whether to make this group a potential PuG group or not, and it's up to the entire group to decide. I have reached out to a couple of PuG groups to test the map for us while we make a decision on whether to help with Map Feedback or not, and they have agreed.

Finally, the Community Ambassador update. I'm currently talking to people in UGC about getting the sub-forum, and POTENTIALLY getting some sort of other stuff involved with our group. That's all for now.
