Strike Witches has gotten its English dub, and I have to say it is not cutting it. Sure, anime voiced in Japanese is almost certainly better, but these days I feel it is becoming too hard to translate.

What do I think is the problem? Sadly, all the moe (of which, may I remind you, is what this group is named for) is to blame. There has been too much recent anime focused on moe and fanservice, and don't get me wrong, I do enjoy it. But it isn't fitting well with the English language, and after all, English dubs are how many people make first contact with anime.

Granted, of course, first anime contact usually comes in the form of heavily-stretched action shows such as Naruto, Bleach, One Piece (The Big Three), which translate fairly well due to the focus on action and not so much on drama or moe. In order to get people into the quality of anime, they must see the subtitled versions, which can be bothersome for newcomers to anime trends.

In short, moe is good, but enough is enough. Bring back the features of the shows we grew up with, so that others may grow up with them and learn the true greatness of anime.

Listen up. I'm in need of at least 12 people to record footage for my upcoming summer project. I'm going to be working on it all summer and it's going to be big. I'm trying to decide on what to do as far as what type of video, but I DO need people who will do the following.

Stay with me, and the project, the entire time it's in development.

Who are mature and won't get in the way of production.

Who are going to be here 90% of the time while production is going on, unless it's just one person doing their job at that time.

Who are willing to actually DO their job, rather than put it off.

Who can record in-game footage efficiently without lag and have the connection to upload the footage to a website (megaupload, rapidshare, etc)

If you're willing to do this, add me on steam. I need at LEAST 12 people that can record themselves playing in-game to make this work. I also need a crew of some people who can edit well. This includes video editing, audio editing, graphic design, etc. Looking forward for this to work with some new people on this project!
