The Maelstrom is a Warhammer Gaming Community that is centered around Space Marine 2, Space Marine 1, and other Warhammer Videogames, We've been around for three years and seek to provide a fun and welcoming atmopshere and community for all of those who call themselves of the Space Marine Series, the Warhammer Franchise, and all the other games that part of it and more!
We offer a number of features and activities from wearing the colors of your favored chapter or warband to fun writing/model competitions to fun and thematic events and campaigns centered around both PvP and PvE game modes.

Our team does our best to be involved with the community and provide excellent communication. We are primarily PC focused however we also support both Xbox and PC.

This is just a very quick announcement that I will be shutting down this Steam Group within the next week. Given that SM Glitchless has now completely merged with the Maelstrom and the fact that we are not making use of this steam group any longer, there is no reason to keep it around. As such, if you are still interested in participating in glitchless, non-exploitive, and non-hacking space marine events and games or alternatively, taking part in some of the other events we host for other games, please feel free to join the Maelstrom Discord server if you have not done so already. Hello! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Izal, clan leader of the Iron Warriors 38th and owner of the Maelstrom Warhammer Gaming Community. You might have seen me recently advertising events here for the Maelstrom. Well after speaking with Bunker, the Creator of this server, we have agreed to perform a merger deal. The Glitchless Community will be merging with the Maelstrom from this point moving forward. Now I'm sure there will be questions so I will be happy to answer them.

The Maelstrom is a discord community dedicated to warhammer fans that love to game among their fellow hobbyist. We offer a fun casual experiences across a slew of games ranging from Space Marine and Dawn of War to Chivalry and more. We run thematic events, tournaments, championships, writing competitions and other fun activities monthly. And most importantly, this is a group for people who are independents and not in a clan as well as those who already are.Currently we are sitting at 480+ members and growing.

Both Bunker/Talon and myself share a similar interest in providing a fun experience for everyone, a big point of which is making our events glitchless. With the Maelstrom recently announcing the fact that it has gone Glitchless across the board and already advertising here, it made more sense to consolidate in one location.

Well it means that we are going to be archiving this server for the foreseeable future. It doesn't make sense to run two glitchless communities that will compete for numbers. Instead we will consolidate in the Maelstrom where all Glitchless events will be hosted from now on. In the meantime, this server will not be utilized nor will it be deleted out of respect for its history.

In the future, it might be retrofitted and turned into something else entirel, but for now, we shall let it slumber peacefully.

Easy answer. It's going to be merged with and turned into the new Maelstrom steam group for obvious reasons.

No, but it wouldn't make much sense to just wait here for nothing to happen. Ultimately, it is up to you as individuals to decide if you wish to join the Maelstrom or not. No one will be removed from this group for the foreseeable future unless new plans are made later down the line.
