I proposal to change the way the positions in The Supreme Court are chosen was defeated in The Senate by 1 vote, the final results of 7 votes being as follows.

Our first Senate Vote will be of a matter of justice.

Should positions in the Supreme Court be chosen from the Public or from the privledged few (Private).

Our current system means I specifically choose who gets to be in the Supreme Court, but as this is a little baised I am proposing we change it so that any public member who agrees to obey and uphold the law may become a holder of a position in The Supreme Court.

Vote yes - If you wish the system to be changed so that anyone can become a member of The Supreme Court.

Vote no - If you think the positions for members of The Supreme Court should be specifically chosen by the National Leader.

Today I thought I would better explain each positions role within our esteemed Senate, starting first with the highest positions.

National Leader - Is the prime member that will put forward proposals to The Senate and will have the power to kick members from The Senate if there is sufficent evidence to support their kicking. The National Leader also responsible for order in The Senate, making sure debates don't get too out of hand and everything remains civil.

Vice National Leader - Also holds the power to put forward proposals to The Senate and acts as a stand in for the National Leader when they are unavailable, in which case the Vice National Leader will perform the same roles of holding order and making sure The Senate remains honest.

Senator - A Senators main responsiblity is to vote on proposals put forward by the National Leader, Vice National Leader and National Representitives (if there is enough support). They also have the responsibility for keeping the running of the group democratic and with the core values of the group at heart.

Diplomat - A Diplomat does not have that big of a role within the inner workings of The Senate, however, there is one thing in which they may be called for and that is to give evidence, on such cases of war, alliences, treaties and other forms of diplomacy.

Supreme Court Officials - May be called to correct any wrong doings that are made by Senators who may break one of the many rules regarding that of being a Senator.

National Representitive - With enough backing from fellow members of the United Nations a National Representitive can either alert the National Leader or the Vice National Leader to have their proposal heard, or can force it to be heard by having an overwhelming marjoirty from within the United Nations. They can also be called to give evidence on cases that The Senate require help with.
