I'm sure you all have seen the announcement in the chat. However i want to put this here for those who do not watch or join the chat.

Starting off.
Chat will be closed from the morning of January 8th to the morning of January 13ish. During this time the chat will be revamped ideally and channels may be removed added switched around or have their contents deleted. If there is something in one you want to save please do so.

Unlike last time we are not doing this because of drama or someone being in trouble. Me and Antlers have both agreed that we've been wanting to polish up and revamp the group and its chat. We've been doing similar things with the chat still being active but this time we're aiming to do more and thus turning off chat Temporarily.
I'll also be revamping the rules which will likely include.
Adding new rules, Deleting old ones or merging them with others, Rewriting some to make their purpose's clearer, Ect.

This is being done to attempt to make things more fun and easy to use.
If you have any questions or concerns, Please ask here or ask a moderator.

With River's leaving, we now have an open moderator position. So, due to this, we're hosting auditions for new moderators. To audition, simply answer these three questions in the comments, as honestly as possible. The new moderator will be selected on the first of next month, but might be postponed for any reason (which we will announce)


1: Do you reasonably have enough time to watch over chat and discussions?

2: Why do you want to be a moderator?

3: What struggles do you think you'd have as a mod?

As we all know, this group has been very chaotic lately. There have been rule changes, fights, and several people leaving due to the stress. Due to this, it hasn't been as fun or happy anymore. So now, I feel as though it is time to act and make some changes.

Starting tonight, I will be turning off our chat until the first of next month, to give everyone some time to settle down and give us a mental health break. Any contests, discussions, and comments will still be open, just not the group chat.

During this time, we will go through and try to clean up things such as rules, channels, and get ready to find a new moderator. This might upset some of you, but think about how short 5 days really is. If you can't wait 5 days for a part of the group to be reopened with improvements, then please reconsider if you really want to be here.

I never really know how to start these announcements.
I'm leaving the group, and therefore no longer being a moderator.

I don't feel like I'm up to the role anymore, and I don't feel like I'm qualified for it anymore. I have said things and made certain actions I regret, that may have hurt others.
I also no longer feel the urge or motivation to be present or moderate in the group. I've found it draining and hasn't really benefited me in any way I'd like it to have.

I feel it's best for me to no longer be present in the group, and to leave it up to Antlers and Silv.

I appreciate all of the positive interactions I've had with group members, and I'll most likely miss the group. However, I don't feel like now is a good time for me there.
