Just an update on how things are progressing. We're still in the process of refactoring the game but are ready to start opening it up to some testing. From there we'll follow up very swiftly on how to proceed with testing. Let us know whether you're interested in SoTF testing ONLY by writing that in the additional information section at the bottom -- If you're wanting to test regular ARK updates too, then don't worry and no need to mention it.

Please keep in mind this will be a NDA process and there won't be any opportunity to discuss the game outside of the testing-environment, no streams, footage - anything of the sort!

Just wanted to give you an update as it's been a while since we've formally posted one in this group, you may have seen our posts scattered throughout reddit, survivetheark.com and the steam forums but nothing officially has been put up.


On Tuesday the 29th of December at 12PM EST - We'll be hosting a final (heh..) SoTF event to end the year with! It'll be a 100 versus 100 charity event, featuring two large tribes, Tribe Naughty and Tribe Nice.

The event will last for 3 hours and you're all invited to take part as we'll be using your IDs for the whitelist, if you choose to. Keep in mind this is a fun event, all in good spirits to raise some fun for charity and have a laugh whilst playing SoTF!


We're super sorry about the delay in regards to these. We received the giftcards earlier this month but have been incredibly occupied with a lot of things going on with the Studio (Xbox, Christmas, SoTF and some restructuring in terms of bringing on some new people!) - this has caused an unreasonable delay but we'll be starting to send out cards now. Some of you have already been contacted in regards to emails, and the rest of you can expect to be contacted through the course of the next few days - don't worry if you haven't heard from me as I will be in touch!

It isn't acceptable for us to be this slow at things, we're still dealing with a lot of growing pains (which we will ovecome and have started on that process by being able to bring on more people) but you will be getting them shortly.


I have been contacted by a few people in regards to the Total Conversion mod and what Wildcard plans are for it going forward. A lot of you have been concerned by the lack of updates assuming that we've given up on the mod. This is not the case. I can say that right now our plan for SoTF is to no longer exist as a Total-Conversion mod.

What we intend to do (and have been working on the background for quite a while now) is refactor the game so that it no longer runs off TC, but is in itself it's own Game Mode. There are many benefits to doing this such as better iteration, much more optimized gameplay (we won't have to blueprint everything) and it will help us achieve the long-term goals for the game-mode.

It will also help with the growth of SoTF as being a unique-game mode is a lot easier for new players to understand than having to install a Total Conversion. Total Conversions are great for mods, but we want to take SoTF beyond that and make it it's own thing.

I apologize for our lack of updates and details regarding it but we don't really share things unless there's something that's ready to be shared or if it's concrete, for those of you who kept up with the xbox-launch you may have noticed the amount of messages, questions, tweets we received but we still only announced when we're ready to. It's likely to be the same for SoTF, but work is being done and as we progress and get closer to some of our first milestones, we'll be able to share much more.

Sorry about the super delay in getting in touch. It's been incredibly busy lately with all our content patches coming out, as well as the organisation for the new team (which is still underway - we're still planning on giving SoTF the overhaul it deserves and needs :)).

We haven't forgotten those of who you've participated in the events and need your giftcard and prizes, once things ease up a little here we'll be able to get in touch to get those handled! I've got a list of every one who participated in the game with their steam ids, so that's how I'll be getting in touch -- via steam and then if there's further correspondence needed to get the prizes out, we'll follow up from there.

I appreciate your patience in this situation, you've truly been very good to us and we're very grateful. I just wanted to update you all on the situation and reassure you that we haven't forgotten!

I know there are a lot of questions about the new SoTF event announced too, right now the details are still being ironed out and once we're ready to share more about that we will!
