Crowley (whose real name as a human was Fergus Rodric McLeod) is a red-eyed crossroads demon who has the title King of the Crossroads. Although he initially served Lilith, he went rogue in Season 5 after her death and Lucifer's release, aiding the Winchester brothers in resealing the latter back into his cage. With the power vacuum in Hell unoccupied, and to protect himself from the wrath of his fellow demons, he appointed himself the new King of Hell.
