As to which Primarch is most likely to return, it would have to be either Corax or Russ. Guillaman and Dorn are dead, so are Ferrus(forgive me if he is not the Iron Hands Primarch) and Sanguinus. Corax and Russ have fates unknown and would be the most likely to survive their 'death oath' to the Eye of Terror.
Personally, I think Ahriman of the Thousand Sons would help/augment the Emperor. Why? In Prospero Burns, even when his legion is slaughtered by the Wolves, he remains loyal. Now, he is on a quest of knowledge, not vengeance! Where was he when the Thousand Sons attacked Fenris? Considering he was one of the most powerful sorcerers in the legion?
