Why a wipe? Feedback from our community is that, server has been lagging with the amount of tall/huge bases appearing throughout the map, or that there are certain particular groups on the server who are a little too overpowered because they had a headstart on the server or what not and it's not fair towards the newcommers of the server. The point regarding the increase of population if there is a wipe, is not an absolute fact whether or not it will definitely increase. In fact, it might massively reduce server population due to several reasons which I would not focus on. The fact is, wiping the server might mantain, or better the server in terms of stabillity and current status of the server. This will also mean, old players in the server or people that spent time working on building/gearing up themselves better in game, will lose most of their hard earned/work stuff and that will be a little unfair compared to the newcomers. This is Rust, there will be bigger/better groups running around. Spawn killers that camp and kill naked bambis. Getting raided by players with more firepower and bigger numbers. It's all part of the game. We've all been through with these events and you just have to be smart about it and play better the right way. At this moment, a lot of us have no problems with wiping the server as it might be fun to start over and what not. But it's a little bit unnecessary if your point of wiping the server is just because you want a better edge or advantage on the server. This will just result in a vicious cycle of wiping the server because of the same old reasons. Lastly, as I've said this a bunch of times, this is indeed a PvP server, where's the fun in having no challenges?
