A. Rules and Guidelines

1. Infinity piles are encouraged. A GM will install them for you if you ask nicely. They provide you with an infinite source of high quality materials.
   
2. Tunneling and mining is banned because it contributes to server lag and world load time. If you need Mining skill in order to progress to Smelting, ask a GM nicely and they will give you 60 skill points in Mining. Please do not ask until you have at least 60 skill in prospecting. When you ask, indicate that this is so. TWO people have been banned for illegal mining.
   
3. Trees should be destumped after they have been logged. Considerable build up of stumps in your area will result in sanction. If trees have been logged near you and left, please notify Admin immediately, do not clean up the area until it has been seen by Admin. There are alternative ways to raise logging skill, please use them.
   
4. Kill on sight (KOS) is NOT allowed, anyone comitting this crime will be hunted down and slain like the common murderers they are. Continued abuse of this rule will result in a ban.
   
5. Fighting is permitted between individuals and groups, however we advise that such fights should be precipitated either by agreement or reasonable Casus Belli, as fitting the Feudal ages. Groups and even individuals in the Realm of Fury have alliances and treaties, so if you have declared war on someone without a reasonable Casus Belli, you may find yourself attacked by many more people than you expected. PLEASE SEE THE NOTES ON ROLE PLAY BELOW.
   
6. It is each Individual or Groups responsibility to look after their belongings. This can be done by maintenance of a protective monument and/or the building of defensive walls. If you are a victim of theft, it is up to you to respond as best you can. NOTE: In Feudal times theft often resulted in death, and anyone caught theiving can expect to be hunted down and slain.
   
7. Judgement Hour will be implemented once enough guilds have been founded and are reasonably established. RoF is anticipating the soon arrival of siege mechanisms to the game, and expects to give this functionality a thorough work out.
   
8. People with negative alignment are justifiably to be regarded with suspicion (they have orange or red names when you hover over them). It is your responsibility to maintain your alignment standing. In some cases (kill an aggressor who attacks you while you are peacefully crafting, accidentally called for tresspassing after being invited into foreign claim area), negative alignment happens when it isn't justified. In such cases you can make an appeal to the Admin. In most cases, however, negative alignment happens for a good reason. You should familiarise yourself with praying for alignment gain, and be sensible by forming a unit before performing combat training.
9. Before entering someones claim area you should notify them in global chat that you are peacefully entering their claim area. Invitations into the claim area mean you do not need to notify. Claim owners have the right to protect their area.

B. Role Play
This server encourages and supports role play. The main challenge for role play in a game of this nature is the need to distinguish between role play banditry, fighting, and aggression, and the regular stream of immature unhappy people who get their thrills from making things harder for others. To that end, some firm rules need to be adhered to.

1. Make your Role Play clear!!! This can not be emphasised enough. If you don't want to be accused of KOS or griefing or bullying for the sake of it, you need to be really clear what your story line is and that you are Role Playing. This means talking in global. This applies whether you are creating Role Play situations or responding to them. If you want to call your allies for a Role Play response, you MUST DO SO in Global, and they must respond in Global.
2. Any aggressive action that is being performed as Role Play MUST be clearly indicated. This means that if you intend to Role Play any action which could be construed even slightly as intimidating, you must:

a. Attempt to use olde time terminology in making your initial demand of the intended victim. This is to be done as in game voice, or on local or global chat, or all three.
b. Be polite, no swearing or crassness.
c. Make no action until a verbal or written response is provided by the victim.
As the aggressor, it is your responsibility to ensure that the victim is aware of what is happening before you proceed.

3. In order to show that your actions are intended as Role Play and that you are acting in geniune interest of Role Play, you should be open and honest in global chat and in the Steam group discussions.

4. Storylines are encouraged, please make use of the Steam group discussions to that end.

5. The difference between Kings and Bandits is that the former lead armies into fixed battle, whilst the latter sneak around picking off people when they are weak or vulnerable. If you even remotely suspect that an action you are about to take might be construed as banditry, than it is banditry. If you wish to Role Play a King or Lord, you should do so in a way that makes it obvious. People are not mind readers, and in this sort of gaming environment we do not even have body language to go by.

C. Current Active Communities

Fury City
Located on the central west coast, on the large bay. Fury City is a great place for new players and seasoned warriors alike. We are open for trade and offer some support to soloists and small communities.

Clan Manetheren
Located in the large clearing to the west of the southern swamp.

Isle of Night
Ruled by the Hilltop town Wintervale on the Eastern peak of the small island. Interests include terraforming, wolf taming, and good old fashioned herbing.

BleakWind Pass
Located Near the Northwest Coast, friendly trading town, ever expanding.

Dusk Keep
Placed in a clearing in the North-West, the Keep is a merry land where Dave breaks couches and Jack is the werewolf.

Peasant Commune
Located in the Far south this land offers safety and freedom to the lower classes, all welcome.

The ShadowBlades
The ShadowBlades are a small Mercenary group located in Fury City, We are looking for able body people who wish to kill for a living. If you wish to join all you need to do is come and see Zed WhiteFyre in the guild hull in Fury City.)

Greybeard the Hermit
Trem Oldtimer has an out of the way place; the very top of Big Mountain.

D. Misc Information

1. No we will not be raising the Skill points cap. It is currently more than double the default value. Though this makes it harder to solo, Realm of Fury encourages active cooperation with fellow players by joining/building Guilds, and/or copious trading of labour and goods.
   
2. Arena events occur on a regular basis. Keep an eye on the group events list.
   
3. RoF hopes to see plenty of guild wars once LiF:YO gets a few more updates.
   
4. A map of the server is available in this group. Please notify the admin if you would like something added to the map.
