If anyone wants to do a run through the main episodes in Co-Op sometime, let me know. You must be willing to use a mic, and hosting will be in USA, east coast.
Doesn't have to be now, or all in one run, just casually when ever.

So there has been a few comments asking how to get started into this or what clients to use, so I would like to recommend people to use EzQuake, because as the name suggest it is very easy to use. But it also works on modern OSes and has a lot of nice features while still keeping as close to the original Quake as possible. It also has a built in server browser.

You will also need the Threewave CTF files, which there are two:

CTF files Download [www.quaketerminus.com]

You want to DL the 3.01 and 4.0 client files, then put them into a new directory which should be called: "CTF"

So the directory should be quake/ctf

Unzip both files into that directory and then start EzQuake. Server information will be coming soon.

So a new member has kind of inspired me to try this again, Gag, which has a server already setup and is motivated, so I made him a mod.

We also have more players in the pool now, hopefully should work for us. Keep an eye out for more news on upcoming scheduled events for QWCTF games!

Just as I was typing up the first post, a random FFA player joined and we played for a bit. So, as you can see, just trying even for a bit can help out in drawing in more people.

Well, TBH, I didn't expect a flood of players for the first event as things have been inactive for quite a while.

However, this will be a weekly event, and I will promise that I will log onto the server for at least 30 minutes in hope people will join. I might be a few minutes late, but I will stay for 30 minutes at aleast.

In order to get such a thing going, it will take a bit of dedication and boredom. 1vs1 or 2vs2 CTF isn't really as fun as the full servers of old, but we would need to do that at first on a regular basis to establish that people will regular be on the server. When people notice this trend, more and more will join over time, but it will not grow unless we try to make a little effort.

However, the results will be worth the effort. So, I encourage all memebers to try to invite more people and try to even stop by on the events for at aleast 30 minutes.
