Papacy

Armand Jean du Plessis, Duke of Richelieu and Fronsac, for his piety and devotion the Papacy has been awarded with the consecration as a Cardinal of the Universal Church along with a Coronation as the King-Bishop of Naples. His Holiness, Boniface X, has remarked such, "It is my hope that this most pious man will live a long fulfilled life, forever enlightening us in the halls of the Lateran and guiding his subjects in the Theocracy of Naples. May God bless him and his life."

Menelik II., Emperor of Ethiopia, met with His Holiness, Boniface X, in the town of Benevento where dialogue was opened up on the situation in and around Jerusalem and a decision was eventually reached between said monarchs. The creation of a Kingdom of Israel with a Prince-Bishopric of Jerusalem inside it has been decided on, with Menelik II. to be crowned as King and the Prince-Bishop to be appointed forever by the Pope. Further, Menelik II. will henceforth follow guidelines and protocol when in the presence of the Pope. These decisions were not taken lightly and it is hoped that a long lasting peace will be achieved from this.

Of last but also of extreme importance, His Holiness, Boniface X, is reported to have begun a travel to Ravenna where it is rumored that a meeting of the higher echelons of clergy is to be held.
