Being a leader sucks, regardless of how good or bad of a team you have.

Being a leader sucks even more when you have a team that can't have half of it's members active on the team they were so eager to sign up for. It also sucks when some people have a horrid skill in the game itself. I'm not mentioning names, I'm more than happy to have you on the team regardless. Rosters are being changed and people are being kicked. If you were kicked, tough. You weren't active.

Sorry it's had to come to this, but had I not taken this position as a leader this team would be damned even more so to begin with.

I'm posting this separate from Fender's because I think it needs extra emphasis.

I'll lay this out simply so there isn't any confusion.

1) I'm sorely disappointed with people not taking the team seriously. It's pretty irritating when I take time out of my schedule and Fender's to talk about this stuff when people aren't willing to give their 100% as well. I saw this yesterday and I know others did too.

2) Mumble. This is the standard voice communication method next to ventrillo that competitive teams use. There is no excuse not to have it in this team, and no excuse to not have it configured by the time a match starts. I (we) said very plainly that anyone that doesn't have this installed will be replaced, and I intend to act on that. Communication is far, far too important to be haphazard about. More so on a KOTH map.

3) To expand on 2, there is no such thing as "I'll be fine on my own, I don't need sound or a microphone.". If you said this to an actual competitive team you wouldn't be there for very long. This is Team Fortress, you _must_ rely on your team and they rely on you.

4) Practice. This is a bit obvious but it seems like people aren't understanding it still. Most of us already know each other fairly well but you would be surprised what a bit of pre-match training does. Me and Fendermcbender trained for a good 2 hours on the day of the match, epic airshots were made, rollouts rolled, and so forth. I believe this greatly improved my performance during the match despite being sleep deprived as shown on the scoreboard. I was landing almost every single pipe bomb hit. We would have won if the rest of the team practiced as well, and I was in a pretty damn good mood after the match knowing that.

5) To expand on 2 again. I know that those of you that are going to be replaced know who you are and should PM me and Fendermcbender about it and possibly help us find some good replacements. I must stress that there isn't any harm in this, no one is going to think worse of each other. You guys already know that I've barely made a few matches as it is due to my real life hassles, so it is completely understandable that you don't have time for a silly video game.

I'll probably add to this if I think of anything else. Yes I know I'm grumpy and mean but that's the way it is. As I said PM me or Fendermcbender with your complaints. I know you have them so spam on.

Edit 1: On second thought, put your complaints on the comments here or somewhere else more public. I'm not always in Windows and some of you aren't that well learned when it comes to highlights and PMs in IRC, and I think that putting them here will allow each team member to work it out amongst themselves if they wish. We aren't proxies and my personal philosophy is that being blunt to people you know well leads to a stronger team/group/whatever.

So. You've probably all heard of the scheduling drama this week. If you haven't, don't worry about it. The other team is trying to schedule a match that is against the rules and me being the pushover leader and nice guy I am, I tried to conform to their schedule.

WELL TOO BAD. If they can't make that 9:30 EST time, the match is going to us. That being said, don't take this any less serious than a normal match. Standard to every other league, I'm assuming we have to just have nine players ready, and have a screenshot of that for the league officals. Anyway, we're all going to be in MUMBLE WHICH IS NOW A REQUIREMENT FOR EVERY USER.

We are going to start using Mumble, I'll fill out the Project Page with that info. Using Mumble will be a REQUIREMENT for all players hopefully starting next week.
