Welcome to Neuschwabenland!

Neuschwabenland liegt in der Ostantarktis - ca 4000km von Südafrika entfernt - auf dem antarktischen Festland. Die Inbesitznahme durch Deutschland erfolgte während der deutschen Antarktisexpedition gegen Ende der 1930 Jahre. Das Klima im antarktischen Sommer beträgt hier bis um die 20 Grad über(!) dem Gefrierpunkt. Durch Vulkanismus und Thermalquellen ist in wettergeschützten Arealen mancherorts selbst im antarktischen Winter das Klima gemäßigt.

Neuschwabenland located in East Antarctica - about 4000km from South Africa - on the Antarctic mainland. Taking possession by Germany was carried out during the German Antarctic expedition in late 1930 years. The climate during the Antarctic summer is here to around 20 degrees over (!) The freezing point. By volcanism and hot springs, the climate is in weatherproof areas in some places even in the Antarctic winter temperate.
