The Legion arrived at the outskirts of the town of, Nelson expecting a quick surrender. They mis-judged the patriotism, will, and faith of the NCR Citizens who took up arms. To defend their homes, even in the face of defeat. They continued fighting, inflicting heavy casualties the Legion might have taken the town, and killed all the heroes in the town. They did not break the will of the NCR, they in fact did the opposite. Raising the morale of NCR at all time highs to avenge the brave men and women at Nelson. Ready for the Legion when they attack Camp Forlorn Hope.

Legion forces numbering around 600,000 having taken Camp Searchlight. Moved north to capture Nelson, outnumbering the NCR Troopers of 13,000 and outgunning them. Things are looking worse for NCR with Nelson under siege, coupled with rumors of Nipton having fallen to the Legion aswell. Some people are starting to question if the NCR can win the war against the Legion anymore.
