With 3 Kingdoms being released Thursday, NAFT will follow the TW tradition of hosting opening-day flash tournaments so that we can all learn about the game in a competitive setting. Therefore, I will be hosting 2 FLASH TOURNAMENTS on Thursday for 3K. One will be earlier for North Americans, but hopefully at a good time for Euros, and the second will be a bit later so as to be good for NA players. Tell your friends to come and play as well!

Flash Tournament Times:
#1: 9 pm GMT (5 EST)

#2: 1 am GMT (9 EST)

Be in the NAFT group chat before the start time, and I'll add you to the bracket.

I will host both flashes, so if you have questions/comments/concerns, ask me. Obviously, it's difficult to give details on rules, since we don't know really much about money, factions, unit strengths, etc. That's the point of the fash, really.

We will have most of Thursday to come up with rules, and I will create a ruleset for the flashes before they start.

After the flash tournaments, I will open a discussion thread so we can talk about what went well, what rules might need to be added, etc. I will probably host subsequent flash tournaments for 3k every few days following release.

Not to mention that rules as no pullthrough (unless unit is mostly knocked down), camping and any other dishonourable behaviour are valid for both flashes and any violation of any of them will result in disqualification. Also both players should try to reach a consensus about their factions, but if they can't then top of the bracket picks first.

"Hey All, so here we are again with another Tea League List Tournament in the pipeline. The last two weeks have shown some really great play, and the rulesets have resulted in some of the most interesting games I've had the pleasure to cast.

As we well know, the G&G drops this coming September 1st, and that is damn sure to shake up the scene. With that in mind I'm going to try to keep the rules more or less the same, as we have little idea how these changes are going to influence the lay of the land as far as tactics are concerned.

So without further ado, the rules:

The Rules

Ultra Funds
6 max of any single unit
6 max flying units (summons included)
6 max single entity units (lords, heroes, and summons included) present on battlefield at any point in time*
3 max Giant
3 max Heroes (not including lord)
2 max any single hero
1 max any spell (Ex: two Amber Wizards allowed, but neither may have any spells in common)
1 max HP regeneration potion per Hero/Lord

Additional:

"Draw Kiting" will result in immediate loss of match for kiting player.
If a player's army includes flight-capable models and is reduced to to a force in which remaining non-routing ground-based models value less than approximately 500 points, that player loses immediately (maybe be challenged if replay is provided).
Note: These rules are dependent completely on the whims of the host (me). As such what constitutes "draw kiting" and flyer abuse is based largely on my own subjective judgement. I am not particularly forgiving when it comes to these tactics.

Format Preparation:

Each player must prepare a single army list for a single faction. The completed list must be submitted to SaphoTea@gmail.com at least 24h before tournament start time. Lists may be submitted in form of a screenshot or PDF listing chosen units with associated points cost. Mounts, spells, items, and vetrancy status must be noted with prices in list.
Lists will be made publicly available by me (Dsealed/SaphoTea) approximately 2 hours before tournament start time through a thread on /r/totalwar
No player may explicitly declare (even their own) a list's construction before lists are publicly released. Streaming/VoDs of a player's own tournament list is permitted.

Format:

Players arranged according to seed into four groups of four
Group Stage 1: Bo1 round robin within groups. Top two players (wins) within each group advance to semi-final matches.
Group Stage 2: Bo1 round robin. Top two players advance to Grand Final
Grand Final: Bo3
Ties settled by a single match played on "MP Crossroads"

Game Details:

Map selection for each map set by host (me). Map selection for brackets published simultaneously with army list release.
Players may not alter army lists from original submission throughout tournament
Each game hosted by higher seeded player
