Everybody knows what on-ball defense is. But in this league, you must play it. No ifs, buts, ands about it. I will enforce this rule strictly.

Everyone has 3 chances to correct themselves if caught playing off-ball defense for long periods of time.

What do I mean by on-ball defense?

What I mean is that you MUST guard whoever has the ball on the other team. You cannot use your center 24/7 on defense, when the point guard has the ball.

There are only two instances in when you can switch to off-ball defense:

1. To guard PnR/PnPs. You are allowed to switch to whoever is guarding the screener during this short period of time.

2. To read a pass. This doesn't mean you can just sit there all day until he passes. If you switch to read a pass and he doesn't pass, switch back to play on-ball immediately.
