By the way, this game is awesome. The only real flaw I see is the AI, and that has been weak in every TW until Shogun 2. Multiplayer was pretty fun, I had some great battles that came down to the last man, but I am finally burned out on vanilla M2TW, I like the Stainless Steel mod these days to test my skill. Anyone else a fan of M2TW mods?

dh.thiago, if you are getting an invalid CD key message, it means you have most likely entered yours incorrectly. It's a pretty simple fix, you just have to find the key in the game files, I don't know where it is off the top of my head, but Google will. Maye sure to enter the key EXACTLY as it appears in your manual/case/whatever. If you have the physical CDs, you can install it for singleplayer by entering anything for the key, but to play online you must have a legit key. If you have since lost your key somehow, then you are out of luck. This is a pretty old game though, so it should cost barely nothing to buy both the game and its expansion new.

@bob_0506 Building ports, improving roads and getting trade rights are several ways. You may also wish to disband some of your lesser units that you do not need i.e. Town militia or Peasants etc.

I am having a real problem here, it is saying I have an invalid player profile when I know I filled everything out correctly. Any help would be awesome

on pc, i know theres a cheat to get unliimted money but i dont really want to cheat. just some hints how to raise mioney easier and quicker.

go to the console and type "add_money 40000"

After i downloaded this game, it will go to the launch screen but if i click play it just tells me error, i was wondering if any one else had this problem and/or knows how to fix it.

Hey all! Sorry, this is probably a stupid question, but is GameSpy the only way to access Medieval II multiplayer, aside from LAN? I receive an error message saying 'Failed to Logon', so I'm wondering if there is a multiplayer alternative. Can't seem to use Steam for Medieval II multiplayer. Thanks in advance and apologies for the bother.

yer been playing on this since it came out and still love it :D :D even manged to get the girlfriend playing it (she is bulgarian and loves seeing her capital city on a game, the little pleasures in life :) ) the only problem which has come about is the diminshing numbers of people playing it online anymore :( so i hope by joining steam i can meet some regular online players and get back into the online scene because if i become the ruler of the world again i think i might just call myself god . . . . :P btw the tournament idea i am loving :D

I know this game is kinda old but it looked good so I bought it. I haven't played yet, but it pretty much seems just like Rome total war.
