IT HAS BEGUN !

Welcome to the official Mortal Kombat : Komplete Edition - South African Steam group !

Any South Africans that purchased MKKE on Steam is welcome to join this group. The game uses regional matchmaking, so please ensure that your Steam download region is set to any of the South African regions.

To set your region, do the following:

1) Go to the Steam menu in your Steam client
2) Choose "Settings" from the menu
3) Click on the "Download" tab
4) Set your region (personallly, mine is set to Johannesburg - South Africa (IS Gaming)

Any of the SA regions will do, so if you live in Cape Town and use that content server, then you'll still be able to pick up other SA players. With that said, it's not to say that you'll ALWAYS find someone from SA to play against.

MK is a very niche game, a lot of us have been waiting AGES to play this version on PC, so we'll use this group then to organise matches, especially King of the Hill battles, where 8 players can partake in the art of Mortal Kombat.

Therefore, invite your friends, the more people we get, the merrier. The game has a few bugs though, but hopefully they can be ironed out for the greater good. If you want to disable the constant microphone transmission when playing then do the following to disable it:

Go to your AppData\Roaming\MKKE folder and edit options.ini, at the bottom it has steam_voice = true, just change that setting to false and save the file.

Feel free to advertise the group on local websites, I'll be adding the group link on the MyGaming.co.za forum where I initially created the MK9 PC thread. Here's hoping we can have some good battles in the future, let the KOMBAT begin !
