Yesterday I tested Dota 2 Reborn and it works great for me.

The best way to report bugs and problems is probably to write developers directly on Github (see useful links):

1.) Issue tracking for Dota 2 Linux (and Mac OS)
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Dota-2

2.) Issue tracking for Dota 2 Reborn on Linux
https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Dota-2-Reborn

I use Ubuntu mate 14.10 with Intel hd graphics, all fine, no lags fps is same as in windows, but ping is even better, i use my android phone as modem and when i play on windows i get frequent disconnects and ping sometimes very unstable and high, but with Linux connection quality is very good.
KarMa 19 Dec, 2014 @ 8:41am
The game runs decently well on my system. Used to have a few issues. So I looked up for solutions and fixed a few of the bugs. But one bug still persists.

The bug being that once I enter the main menu and I give find match and accept the game It takes nearly 2 minutes to go into the game. So basically I would not connect to the game. So as a temporary solution I create a bot game and once I connect then I search for a game. But this is very annoying. Does anyone else have similar issue? Any suggestions?

Shit 22 Nov, 2013 @ 6:18am
Hello, I have a bit problem. My clients starts really slowly, didn't time it but it's probably around 3minutes. I've found this line in output so I'll just put it here and hope somebody know what to do about it. (I actually think I've solved this before but cant find a word about it on google). I am running x64 gentoo, no troubles/lags during gameplay

Reform group

This group was once created as a result of the campaign “Dota 2 on Linux” , in order to illustrate that there is a great demand for a Linux client for Dota 2.

Since the Linux client has been released on 18th of July, we reached our goal, so it is time to reform.

My suggestion is to reform to a group / community of Dota 2 Linux player. This would mainly influence the group description.

If there are any doubts or other suggestion feel free to post it in this discussion I started for this topic.

Some of us are developers, we can help porting :)
Peruna 12 Jun, 2013 @ 1:54pm
ill totaly support this idea of dota in linux :)
Shit 9 Jun, 2013 @ 9:07am
I heard about a month ago that some valve employee said on github they are alredy porting it, but it's not as easy as porting CS/HL, because the engine used in dota is modified. We will probably wait a bit longer..
AGN 9 Jun, 2013 @ 4:57am
No there is no precise official statement, but if so I will notify you. It seems like it is just a matter of time (because other games based on the source engine are already ported), but the current progress of Dota 2 is unknown.
AGN 9 Jun, 2013 @ 4:55am
I think the first step is to grow in numbers in order to get attention and maybe this brings to some pressure on Valve or at least we can get a precise official statement about the progress of porting Dota 2 on linux ;)
Meepo IMBA?? 9 Jun, 2013 @ 4:51am
Is there an official statement from Valve about porting dota to linux?
rampaging bunny 9 Jun, 2013 @ 4:00am
Ah, kk, was just wondering. I never accept invites from groups that none of my friends are in,but this is worth the effort. Are we actually doing something or are we supposed to grow in numbers to show valve
Squiddy (GOL) 9 Jun, 2013 @ 3:52am
The game is very much needed on Linux!

AGN 8 Jun, 2013 @ 6:17pm
Saw you in the campaign "Dota 2 on Linux" of jonaias and added you when I rush through the post in order to check if there is anything interesting about the progress of porting DotA2 on linux ;)
