So the server is back after the patch-crash.

Our main mod is still being patched to work with the latest changes and hopefully will be running again in the next day or two.

Until then its full vanilla Rust. Make sure to log in and check your stuff for required maintenance... decay is still bugged and I wouldnt want you to lose your hard work.

So I'm working on a plan for fun little in game mini tournaments.

We've done some experimenting and I think I've come up with a good format for the first one.

There will be 8 entry slots. Buy-in is 2 full stacks of wood (500)
Once you have purchased your slot you will be assigned an opponent and will duel with (provided) pistols in the arena. Matches are best 3 out of 5 kills.

Winners will proceed to the next round. Weapons and ammo will be reset and again best 3 out or 5 kills. This should leave us with only 2 players.

Those 2 will duel with (provided) M4s or shotguns (player choice) in a final best 3 out of 5 round.

No bandages or meds will be provided or allowed so come at full health with nothing on your person. We can provide a TP to the arena from your house so you dont have to run across world naked. We may decide to execute player before their matches begin to make sure no one is smuggling meds or anything.

Any player death counts as a kill during a match whether it be spikes or bleed out. If both players die, the winner of that round will be the killer first confirmed by the in-game death annoucement.

Immediate teleport back to the arena will be provided for reset.

After matches players are both to deposit their weapons back in the starting crate. (Admin/Ref will handle the dead players weapon and ammo reset)

Winner takes all the buy-in wood. (4000 wood) and can keep their chosen weapon from the final round.

Signup will begin as soon as I set a date for the first match. I'm hoping to do it on Sunday Feb 2nd 2014 but will update as soon as I know admin/ref schedules.

Matches will all happen during full dark. Fires will be lit but can be extinguished by players as they see fit. If server time and match time require it, full dark will be set by admin and daylight returned after the match.

So after a somewhat rocky (but still fun) start with some config errors and frequesnt restarts, we finally have the server in a 'stable' state.

Heres what we settled on:

• Standard 'vanilla' loot from zombies, crates, etc.
  
• Half crafting time (we wont do insta but may go to 1/4 later)
  
• Extremely slow decay... We'll keep this as long as possible and will only speed it up to avoid server lag when there are a lot of structures.
  
• No Sleeper for now (may change if enough people want sleeper)
  
• Rust Essentials Mod (google it for details. Ill post a primer here later)

So. Feel free to invite your friends. Play away... We have some awesome plans for special events and 'holidays' which will be announced soon!
