@ assassin kitty, if valvle wanna add hats or other stupid thing and L4D it's np for me i won't buy them, and leaving L4D1 20 €, i'm not sure they will earn alot of moey with that too.
They have nothing to earn from this unlike tf2, they still earn money from people who buy hats and other things.. making l4d1 free to play is a bad idea and I am quite sure will never happen.
But I like your idea. Before free l4d2 weekend there was around 10 k players. During the free weekend it was ~50-70 k people playing. After that is idk maybe 20 k or 30 k.
