Group description:
This is a private group, members are known to be the best of the best. A group that share victory, defeat, frustration and experience, together we maybe different by race, culture, or nation, but we share a common trait,and that trait is called skill. The skill to adapt, to kill, to survive and to fight for another day, but most importantly the skill co-operate and work together. Within this group, each team consists of 4 members all with one goal; to fight through this zombie infested world. At times it may seem harsh and depressing but our team will most definitely make it through.

Got news within this group that a member has been spamming a link around which leads you to a fake steam community page. (Not entirely sure if the account now is to its owner) Account now has been returned to the owner, but please be on guard for such attempts anyways.

[L4D&L4D2] Console commands for Server searching ; regarding ping

SIDE NOTE: I haven't posted this before, but late is better than never.

REQUIREMENTS:
-To choose a server while you are in the lobby, you have to be the lobby leader.

-To find the server you need the console enabled. (Via keyboard option in L4D)

INSTRUCTIONS A:
1. The "~" button was pressed on your keyboard, without holding Shift.

2. "mm_dedicated_search_maxping #" was typed in the console without quotes, and "#" was replaced by a low double digit number (preferably 80). The enter button was hit after the input. Go click search server.

Works for both L4D1 and L4D2.

If you want to save the server to be revisted again.

INSTRUCTIONS B:
1. Type "status" in the console the same way with other commands.

2. After the listings, you will see something like ###.###.###.###:#####, copy that and save it.

3. Instead of typing "...search_maxping", you'll type "mm_dedicated_force_servers ###.###.###.###:#####"

SIDE NOTE 2: For L4D you will encounter more custom servers with mods (lasers, random upgrades, etc) with the server search setting on "best available dedicated".

Also if the server choice, either via ping or IP was unable to be located, it will run on your computer as a local host. Which means you'll get the milisecond lag of 0-5 while others might get much higher and unstable ping. Always press tab to check if you're the host or not.

SIDE NOTE 3: Enter "net_graph 1" in the console to display the FPS and Ping, it is faster than the tab option. Also it only appears in text, in game, on the down right cornor away from important things. Live update aswell for all your checking needs without tab.
