Hypernormalisation

Hypernormalization means a situation where a fake, absurd, or broken reality becomes so accepted as normal that people continue living within it, unable or unwilling to challenge it, even though they know it's not real, creating a feeling of dissonance or living in an alternate timeline where systems are clearly failing but daily life carries on as usual.
