The Hyper-V project within L4D2 has ran its course and will be shutting down on 22nd of September. The decision is final and permanent. It has nothing to do with DDoS or anything like that.

I'm a programmer and I'm good at making servers, optimizing them, making configs, plugins etc. Unfortunately, being a server admin also means added responsibilities, such as having to deal with people's bans, sorting out dramas, telling the innocent from the guilty ones etc.

Lately the amount of dramas and complaints have increased to an absurd level. I can't and won't dedicate my free time to dealing with this crap. I want to spend my time doing something at least half productive, as applicable to an online gaming community as this term can get. I'm afraid that I'm out of luck and several people won't let me do that, constantly and constantly demanding that, instead of fixing another bug or enjoying my game, I devote my free time to THEIR problems, just because they feel entitled to my service. Any refusal leads to disgust and the label "gg admin".

I am leaving the community to other servers and other admins. Objectively, they might not be as experienced developers as I am, but I believe they might be more flexible than me in their general role as server admins.

To everyone who supported me: thank you. You're the reason I lasted this long.

To everyone who hates me for not satisfying their needs or for any other professional reason: get a job, get laid, get a life. I have faith in you. Internet is not the only place to fulfill your need for emotions.

ProMod Redtown is a new config that is part of the official ProMod package. It was designed as an improved version of ProMod and is meant to become a successor to it.

At the moment, the config is still in beta and exclusively available on the Hyper-V servers only. Please report bugs, if any. Once the config is out of beta, it will be released along with the next version of ProMod.
