Following the success of NieR: Automata, the previous game NieR Replicant is getting a very shiny remaster and will be released early next year.

During a pretty long stream, Taro Yoko and friends talked about the remaster and how it’s progressing. The developer behind this is also Toylogic, which may seem odd until you realise the team is ex-Cavia, who worked on the original version.

Anyway, the full title of the remaster is the catchy NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139… and will be released worldwide on April 23 next year.

As you surely know, NieR Replicant will be released during the 10th anniversary of NieR series (so before the 22nd of April 2021).
But Square Enix and Yoko Taro thought that the Remake/Remastered of Replicant wasn't enough (I wanna remember that the dubbing and the ost will be re recorded and it will have new characters and new elements so it won't be a simple remastered) so they decided to please us with another masterpiece, a game that we'll be able to play outside our houses, maybe somewhere in the nature, in a park with a pair of headphones to listen to the incredible ost that we can expect from a NieR game; I'm talking about NieR Reincarnation.

NieR Reincarnation will be released on Android and IOS for the 10th anniversary too, we don't know the precise release date also in this case.
We don't have many informations about the story but according to Yoko Taro we know the following informations:
-There will be more than one protagonist
-The world COULD NOT BE the same of NieR Replicant and Automata but we'll meet some characters/elements of the other games like for example Emil
-The character seen in the Gameplay Trailer IS NOT Kaine and she's designed by Akihiko Yoshida
-The ghost-like creature, that follows the character in the trailer, is called Mama and at first sight reminds a bit to NieR Automata pods and it will take care of the character
-There will be a beta test so we'll be able play it soon, before the actual release
-The ost will be a little different than usual NieR ones
-The story will be one of the strongest points (as we could expect from a NieR game)
-The game will be constantly updated
