Ok, today all of Gamespy's multiplayer master servers went down and that includes Star Wars Battlefront II. Almost immediately massive numbers of people began releasing fixes and alternate master servers in order to keep the multiplayer going.

Here, I'm going to detail the easiest fix that I have seen: Game Master.


Gamemaster is an alternate master server that does not require a separate client. In order to host and play multiplayer games, you simply need to replace the BattlefrontII.exe files in the client or the dedicated server depending on which you wish to get working with the ones that they have provided.


I have made it one step easier by renaming their .exe files so that they will automatically replace the ones in your game folder.

Note: If you're only trying to play, you just need the client version.

Put this in C:/Program Files(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/Star Wars Battlefront II.

Replace it with the file that's already there.

Dedicated Server: {ENLACE ELIMINADO}https://www.mediafire.com/?7zezwdkemkwkb82

Put this is C:/Program Files(x86)/LucasArts/Starwars Battlefront II PC Server

Replace it with the file that is already there.(SERVER HOSTS ONLY)


This should connect you to the new master server and get multiplayer working as usual! Instead of logging into gamespy, just click multiplayer and then join and the servers will be right there for you. Many of Battlefront II's biggest servers have already changed over master servers.
