A player good enough to have played in top European teams before his move into semi-retirement, he never got that opportunity due to the whole Portuguese thing and the general snobbery of the players in the European scene. A shame for the teams that are crying out for a solid AWPer when such talent is thin on the ground because here, at i43, once again Mario showed what he is capable of.

Comfortable making entry picks when the aggressor or capable of holding a site by himself when on defensive duties, FM SAPPHIRE’s surprise fourth place finish owes a lot to him, especially his performances in the big games where he came into his own. He’s the lynchpin for his side and still remains one of the best talents in Portugal, even if he isn’t quite the player he was when he had more hours under his belt. "
