The Forkborn (Don't Starve Together Community Outpost)

This group is dedicated to helping Players in the DST closed beta find others players conviently by having a place where they can all congregate

Since the addition of the Frontier pack, there has been an influx of new players. This, in combination with DST's current server setup (ie: 1 person hosts, other people join the host)- which causes a lack of dedicated servers; means that the DST community hub is flooded with people asking for people to play with.

This means that geniune issues are less likely to be heard, as the sheer quantity of requests makes it difficult to people to find others in need.

Thats where THIS group comes in. By isolating the need for requests- we can alleviate some of the pressure off the community hub, and make finding other applicable players more convienent for everyone.

So, if you are looking for someone to play with- look no further! This group should be full of people willing to tag along with you!

Also, make sure to spread the word- the more people here, the merrier! Anyone and everyone (who has DST) is welcome! ^-^

If this group becomes REALLY popular, I might organize events and stuff- but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it :V


How it Works-
IF YOU ARE WILLING TO HOST- Make a discussion in this group! Ensure to include all the details of how you're server is going to work (ie: How many/ what kind of people you want, server name and password, mods you'll be using, etc)

IF YOU WANT TO JOIN A HOST- Look at the discussions! When you find someone you want to join- contribute to the discussion to discuss fine details, then start the server amongst yourselves!

OR- Try going into the group chat, people who want to host asap should hang around there if they're looking to find people quickly

THESE RULES AREN'T SET IN STONE: If you want to mix & match, or have your own way of doing something- thats fine by me, as long as it works.

The Rules!
Naturally, we do have to have some rules to make sure people stay true to this groups main goal...

1. (in the words of J2O...) Keep it clean! No swearing or offensive behaviour!
2. Spam will not be tolerated! Putting the same discussion up over and over does not give you more attention! Its just annoying!
3. Keep it relevant! (I swear, if I see a single person selling keys here...)
4. Respect peoples decisions! Some people have very strict specifications, don't feel offended if they don't apply with you, etc (Ie: Timezones, etc)
5. This Group is called "Forkborn" So constant pitchfork rambling is a neccisity. (heh, just kidding- although I may do that anyway :3)
6. Spread the word! This group can only function if it has lots of people! Tell your friends, family, even strangers! The world must know!

Any violation of these rules will be met with justifiable retaliation- you have all been warned!
