If you get to see this, then welcome to Fenix Squadron. Here, no matter what, we are all members who fly together and make sure to cover each other's backs. I have hopes for communication amongst everyone to be strong and encourage creative ideas for the Squadron as a whole. Most important thing to note, when you fly with us, work to help each other out, but not at the expense of having fun, that's what we're all here for in the end.

Recruitment Request

Hello all,

To those that know me, you know my situation with my schedules and know I am not online as much as I would like. However, I wish to extend this request to everyone. Make a trip back to the starting systems and adopt pilots. Show them the ropes of flying in space on ED and on planetary flight. Get them their wings to be in the game.

From there, I ask that you do not actually mention that this is a recruitment action. Just be there to help them get to a decently outfitted ship and then help them make their first long distance trek to any good system you think they would prosper in. For me, my go to is Wolf 906. Once you get there and you show them the large assortment of options to do, give them the question if they wish to join a larger group of fliers. Formally offer them a chance to join into Fenix.

If they choose yes, prepare them for the journey out to Can Qing and alert another pilot to help run escort or as standby for CR (Cosmic Refueling). When you arrive at the system, alert one of the SQ/CCs (Squadron Commanders) that a greenie has joined the ranks, the CC will then issue the formal welcome bull-malarkey we all hate to hear and send them an invite into this steam group as a ligitimate member of Fenix.

If they choose no, tell them about the system you are in and its surrounding areas. Bid them a fond farewell and then be on your merry way. I will leave it up to you if you wish to unfriend them within ED as to mask the location of our FOB (Forward Operating Base), however I personally don't see any reason to hide it unless they choose to be hostile.

WAR!

War has officially been declared on the Thargoids. Current community goals are Thargoid hunts. We're not going to be engaging in these hunts at the moment, but what we will do, is continue our work to earn more funds and better arm ourselves. There are plenty of pilots out there engaging the Thargoids as it is, so we still have time to better prepare ourselves. Fenix Squadron, do what you do best!
