While tweaking the interface a bit, I also implemented two new features for compiling: "Compile Folder of Qc File" and "Compile Folder and All Subfolders of Qc File". They mirror the corresponding Decompile features.

I also discovered that Dota 2's compiler waits for user key press after showing a "Hit a key to continue" message at the end of its compiling. This caused Crowbar to mess up, meaning Crowbar did not know the compiling had ended and would not allow the user to compile again. Also, Crowbar would not shut down the studimdl.exe process, so even killing Crowbar would have left studiomdl.exe running. That's all fixed, so you don't have to worry about it.

Crowbar is almost ready for a public release; I am still planning to release before the end of the month.

A little bit earlier, I uploaded a dev version of Crowbar that can decompile SFM and Dota 2 meshes fully. It seems there are 8 extra bytes in each strip group in the vtx file for their version of the mdl file.

I am slowly changing some of the interface to fit in more features. I intend to post some form of my ToDo list so you can see what features are planned and what bugs I know about.

Props that use concave (in the qc file) to form a collision mesh now decompile correctly for recompiling.

I still need to fix the rotation of a static prop's reference and collision meshes, but that should be done by the end of the weekend.

I have also been idling in the chat room more, giving out the latest development version to those who request to test it. There have been several other people who idle there, too, and have helped me find useful data or source code. Everyone is welcome to simply idle and read along with updates and discussions.

This month, I intend to be updating Crowbar and uploading its source code.

So far this month (over the weekend), I fixed most of the bugs with decompiling animation data. Yes, you read that right. Decompiled animation SMD files will soon be yours to edit. :D

I'll try to post more often with updates and plans. I know everyone enjoys seeing progress.
