EDIT: On a side note, is there any way to get Veronica to take off that stupid medieval peasant hood without using a mod? It's fine with her default outfit but looks ridiculous with armor, and giving her a helmet didn't seem to work.
it's sort of possible. You need a fully repaired legion explorer helmet, a fully repaired ballcap with glasses and fully repaired sunglasses. Give her the two helmets, exit inventory mode, go back in and remove the explorer hood and give her sunglasses. If it works right the game gets confused and shows her wearing only the sunglasses despite the fact she has the ballcap with glasses and sunglasses both equipped, so you don't need to look at her filthy hobo rags anymore. You need to do this every time you start the game though.
